Do you have "cold feet"?

Do you suffer from tingling, pins and needles or pain in your limbs? Do you have "cold feet"?

Neuropathic problems

These problems become apparent very gradually – it can be unpleasant tingling at first, burning, touch of a blanket on the skin feels unpleasant... Peaceful sleep is often beyond reach. Nerve function begins to lapse after some time – reduced sensitivity to tactile sensations, warmth (patients burn themselves easily) and pain mostly in lower extremities. Unfortunately, if left untreated, the affected area broadens. The affected patient becomes unable to move in a coordinated manner (loss of nimbleness in hands, tripping, instability while walking)…

The nervous system comprises a network of nerve fibres that deliver signals (impulses) from the brain and the spinal cord to other, peripheral body parts. Transmission of nervous impulses may be affected by damage to any part of this network. This results in disrupted function of our muscles, joints, skin and internal organs.

Sensory nerves are often damaged due to peripheral neuropathy. The initial signs can be usually observed on legs with gradual occurrence of loss of sensitivity, tingling or pain. The problems may spread over time to the upper extremities or trunk. Hypersensitivity to touch may also be a sign of peripheral neuropathy. The feeling of numbness and pins and needles in skin is called parasthesia.

The loss of sensory perception in legs may be a major complication in particular in the causal link between neuropathy and diabetes. Potential blisters or sores on legs may develop very fast and without the patient noticing. Any subsequent injury and infections (inflamed wounds) may spread to deeper layers of tissue, including bones. The final consequences may be fatal – necessary amputation.

The most common neuropathic problems:

  • sensoric problems (especially on the nerve endings in legs)
  • pins and needles
  • feeling of cold in limbs
  • intensive pain in a rested state (mostly at night)
  • loss of deep sensing

The Stimsmart therapy helps to return feeling into your limbs

In the case of the Stimsmart therapy, rather than the cause of the neuropathy, the options for limiting the effects of neuropathy or eliminating them for a certain period of time are important. Neuropathic problems are not limited to the limbs. Fatigue and poor sleep as the consequence influence the overall mental condition of the affected patient. The Stimsmart therapy helps to solve these problems comprehensively.

The administration of the therapy is not pleasant but quite bearable. Certain health problems are subsiding now, after 13 procedures - lack of sensation in legs, poor movement in knees, shoulder, pain in the lumbar region, and a long-term problem in the frontal cavity is improving.
